Hear it from a patient

“Five stars out of five from me”

“I didn’t know how they would turn out, as I just put my trust in Dr Eassun and what he recommended would be the best solution for a better smile… I just wanted to say it’s 5 stars out of 5 from me, for Dr Eassun and his team.”

Ross Kelly — bonding patient

The treatment

What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding is a simple, minimally invasive treatment that uses tooth-coloured white filling material to adjust the shape, shade and strength of your teeth. The resin is applied directly onto your existing teeth — preserving your natural enamel — then sculpted, contoured and polished by hand.

When bonding is used to cover the full face of a tooth, it becomes a composite veneer — the same material, taken further. Either way, the result is immediate: most cases are completed in just one visit, often with no injections and little or no drilling.

A bespoke shade, shape, height and width is chosen for every individual patient — never a one-size-fits-all smile.

Bonding can be used to

  • Close spaces between teeth
  • Change the shade of a tooth
  • Increase the height of a tooth
  • Repair cracks and chips
  • Repair worn edges
  • Even out the lengths of teeth

FAQs

Questions, answered

How much is composite bonding / veneers?

Composite bonding starts from £155, depending on how much of the tooth needs to be treated.

How long does it take to do?

Typically, 8 composite veneers may take around 3 hours. Edge bonding is usually shorter than this.

Can I combine bonding with teeth whitening?

We often carry out whitening before composite bonding as part of a treatment plan, so the base shade of all your teeth is lifted before the bonding is matched and placed.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes — consultations let us plan each case individually. Every smile is treated on a specific basis, so a consultation to get the tiny details right is essential.

How long does composite bonding last?

Composite bonding lasts between 5–7 years, at which point it will often need to be refreshed or replaced.

What happens if some of the bonding chips away?

You come in for a short repair appointment, where we restore your tooth back to the way it was.

Is it possible to spread the costs out?

Yes. We are very flexible with finance options — 0% interest is available on set terms, and treatment can be spread over 4–5 years.

Will composite bonding stain?

Bonding can stain if you smoke heavily or don’t follow our aftercare instructions. It’s important to come for your six-monthly appointments to have it polished.

Can I whiten my composite veneers?

Composite veneers won’t change shade with whitening gel — however, if there is staining on your bonding, whitening gel can lift that staining away.

Can I change the shape of the tooth?

Yes — with composite bonding it’s possible to adjust the shape later if you’d like changes. This is different to porcelain veneers, where changing the shape is more difficult.
